Position Summary:

Southport Marketing is a full-service experiential marketing and promotions firm that is currently seeking a Coordinator with 2-4 years of event marketing and promotions experience to assist with our expanding business needs. We are looking for an outgoing individual to manage and build upon our successful promotional campaign for the Mid America Chevy Dealers in St. Louis.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a positive attitude, familiarity in the event marketing and experiential business, and believes in the team concept. Opportunity to work in an environment where individuals are given the room to grow and work independently, while being part of a great team that supports each other

Position Responsibilities:
  • Ability to work from home while working with staff based in other locations
  • Account Management for existing client accounts/projects
  • Research new event opportunities and assess potential benefit to the
    Mid America Chevy Dealers
  • Create relationships with event promoters
  • Coordinate the delivery of vehicles from Chevy Dealers for event displays
  • Manage setup and teardown of events, execute events,
    and manage a team of brand ambassadors
  • Create and manage project budgets
  • Provide on-site management and implementation of
    local and regional programs
  • Ability to manage partners and vendors in execution of programs and events
  • Ability to consult and present program concepts to clients
  • Work with Southport team to develop strategic and creative event solutions and promotions
  • Write and distribute project status reports, presentations and
    post event recaps
  • Support in new business prospecting
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in related field or related experience
  • Minimum of 2-4 years agency/client service experience
  • Basic understanding of advertising and new media
  • Excellent project management and organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Attention to detail and flexibility
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects at one time
  • Preferred experience in the event and promotions business,
    including on-site event management
  • Preferred experience in building and managing client relationships
  • Knowledge of Automotive industry a plus
  • Experience in Social Media, Digital and Internet Marketing a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Travel and weekend work is required locally
  • Valid U.S. Drivers’ License and clean driving record
