Southport Marketing planned, staffed, and produced an exclusive VIP brand experience event for Alaska Airlines to kick off the NFL football season, called “The Russel Wilson Happy Hour,” with its Chief Football Officer, Russell Wilson. This invitation-only experiential event was for Alaska Airlines’ most loyal customers, such as its Mileage Plan members, Alaska VISA card holders, social media influencers, and lucky winners of a social media ticket giveaway.

Commemorative Photo Opportunities

Each guest had the opportunity to take a photo with Russell Wilson. Likewise, guests also had their picture taken in front of the Alaska/Russell Wilson poster backdrop using various photo props.

Meet & Greet with Russell Wilson

An exclusive Q&A with Russell Wilson was moderated by Joel McHale. Alaska’s CEO, Brad Tilden, also discussed their partnership with Russell Wilson. Finally, he gave out various prizes to the audience, such as Alaska Lounge passes, headphones, gift certificates, and signed memorabilia.

Branded Games & Live Entertainment

Guests could play Alaska-branded games, including corn hole and ping pong while listening to the Live DJ spinning tunes.

Free Food & Beverages

Guests enjoyed appetizers from Russell Wilson’s favorite Seattle restaurant, Metropolitan Grill. Beer & wine was served by Alaska’s on-board partners, and dessert from Seattle’s local creamery, Salt & Straw.

Promotional Gift Bags

Upon departure, guests received an event T-shirt, poster, Nike backpack, and an Alaska favorite – the fruit and cheese plate.
