The National Women’s Soccer League held the 2023 Championship Game at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego. Southport Marketing was tapped by the NWSL to put on a pre-game Fan Fest and to execute the CarMax Skills Challenge – an All Star competition of sorts. The two events were planned and executed by Southport along with many league partners including – CarMax, Ally, Adobe Max, Nationwide, and a custom photo op featuring the newly announced NWSL Championship Trophy designed by Tiffany. The main stage featured headliner Bishop Briggs along with a DJ performance and TOGETHXR.
The NWSL Championship Fan Fest delivered a record crowd with more than 7,500 fans attending before the largest crowd ever to watch the Championship match. The CarMax Skills challenge was featured on CBS at halftime of the Championship game.
